The Story

In the heart of downtown Louisville, Colorado stands one of the last remaining wooden grain elevators in Colorado. Built in 1905 by pioneering grain entrepreneur, John K. Mullen, this iconic structure has stood as a symbol of community between neighbors, industries, and eras for over a century. From its beginnings in agriculture and mining to the bustling town we know today, the Grain Yard's elevator has been a significant contributor to Louisville’s economic evolution.

The Grain Yard - A Modern Public House where today’s Community crafts tomorrow’s History every day

Back in the day, the Louisville grain elevator was the heart of the town’s agricultural and railroad scene. It’s been sitting dormant for over 70 years, but not for much longer. We’re beyond excited to bring it back to life and write a brand-new chapter.

So, what’s Next?

Under new ownership, we’re in the early stages of transforming the grain elevator into a vibrant, welcoming gathering place. Our vision is to preserve its storied history while creating a space that brings together neighbors, families, remote workers, and weekend wanderers alike.

This transformation will take time, but it’ll be worth the wait. We expect the full revival to unfold through the summer of 2026.

A space for everyone

At the Grain Yard, everyone is welcome. Whether you're grabbing your morning coffee, stopping by for happy hour, or attending a local event, our space is being designed with community at its heart.

Expect a thoughtfully curated mix of remote work nooks, cozy hangout spots, and areas to gather and unwind. And of course there will be good food. We’ll be featuring locally sourced eats from our favorite restaurants and food trucks, along with live music and laid-back vibes. It’s a modern public house built for slowing down and connecting with the people around you.
